Speaker

Elinor K. Karlsson, Harvard University FAS Center for Systems Biology, USA

Elinor Karlsson is a postdoctoral fellow at the Center for Systems Biology at Harvard University and at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard. Her research is focused on combining tests for natural selection with association and functional studies to identify genes, pathways, and variants underlying traits with relevance to human health. Dr. Karlsson earned her Ph.D. in bioinformatics from Boston University. Currently, as a member of Pardis Sabeti's lab, she is studying the evolution of pathogen resistance, in human populations, and psychiatric disease, using dogs as a natural model. She is a Charles A.
